As part of the Aircraft Availability Tribe, you'll work alongside talented engineering professionals, helping deliver safe, efficient, and reliable maintenance outcomes for our fleet. Based in Singapore, you'll play a critical role in supporting our heavy maintenance programme and strengthening partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
About the role
As Engineering Manager, Heavy Maintenance Support, you will plan, lead, and manage the delivery of engineering and maintenance support services, ensuring exceptional safety, quality, cost efficiency, and operational performance.
You will:
- Lead the delivery of heavy maintenance engineering with key suppliers to support and achieve outstanding safety, quality, productivity, and regulatory compliance
- Contribute to annual business planning and engineering strategy, supporting the commercial objectives of the Aircraft Availability Tribe
- Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring expenditure is well controlled and resources are used effectively
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance maintenance quality, operational efficiency, and cost effectiveness
- Build strong relationships with internal customers, maintenance providers, and key stakeholders to deliver outstanding service and communication
- Lead and develop the onsite support team, fostering a high-performance culture while ensuring compliance with maintenance planning requirements and engineering standards
- Support the development of medium term / five-year heavy maintenance plans and build capability through effective training and succession planning.
What we're looking for
You'll bring significant aviation engineering experience together with a collaborative leadership style and a passion for continuous improvement.
Ideally you will have:
- A minimum of 10 years' experience within aviation engineering
- Demonstrated leadership experience contributing to the planning and delivery of complex engineering or operational programmes
- Proven project management skills and people leadership capability
- A degree qualification or equivalent industry experience
- Aircraft engineering qualifications at trade or professional level
- A strong understanding of regulatory compliance, safety management, and quality systems within an aviation environment
- If you don't already have working rights in Singapore, you must be eligible to obtain the appropriate working rights for the duration of the 24-month fixed-term contract.
