We’re looking to fill a gap in the current landscape, by offering a product that combines insights from both your code, dependencies & cloud, resulting in a set of unique and high-value security features. We're going to package this in an easy-to-use product that is helpful as well as educational.

Job Description

We are a new company hiring for our first SecOps Sales Engineer. This position has a lot of ownership of the first sales cycles, early roadmap, and key selling points. You would be surrounded by the energy and positivity of an inspired team each day, learning and growing together. We're at the forefront of an accessible DevOps and Security industry, and so the work you do will be seen and felt by a huge number of people. Your work could be critical in defining the experience of online security.

Main responsibilities:

  • You will be working closely with the CRO, on helping close deals. But more importantly, you will help understand prospects/customers, understanding the value we deliver to them, and the gaps that there might be to get a stronger product-market fit.

  • You will therefore also be working closely with the CPO and CTO as you articulate the (technical) voice of the customer. Your input for the product and development teams will directly influence the roadmap and how we package our product.

  • Bringing a candid curiosity to every customer question and need.

  • Being able to internalize the vision & mission of Aikido, and applying and articulating that towards our prospects and customers.

Qualifications

This is you:

  • You are really comfortable in a very entrepreneurial environment

  • You have at least 3 years of experience with software security products

  • You can talk the CTO language, you can brainstorm with security engineers, and you are familiar with their needs and pains.

  • You understand the difference between value and features. And when to present which.

  • You are a structured thinker

  • Willing to experiment with different positionings, offerings, solutions, …

  • Plus: Experience as a developer

  • Plus: Experience with DevOps tools

  • Plus: Medior to Senior profile - We are going fast and need experienced people that can hit the ground running with us. 

  • Fluent in English

Legal-wise:

  • We have a work-from-anywhere policy but If you need to get on the payroll, you need to be eligible to be on a Belgian one (and you need to reside somewhere in Belgium actively) OR you act as a freelancer, have the ability to invoice, and work from wherever you see fit.
