Job Description

The Vice President of Business Development is a hybrid sales role offering CX  transformational solutions and BPO services, across operations and technology, spanning the customer lifecycles of leading technology and digital native companies. Leveraging Cloud-based solutions such as Software as a Service (SaaS), the automation of current technologies, and partnering with operational excellence as well as customer-focused support, the VP of Business Development will show new and existing clients how to build a powerful digital-first, transformed operating model that redefines performance to drive radically better outcomes.

As a senior member of the Communications, Media & Technology (CMT) organization, the Vice President of Business Development will identify, assess, and negotiate new business opportunities that align with the Company’s overall strategic growth objectives.  This position will contribute to the strength, capabilities, and reputation of our client in the global marketplace while expanding the customer base, revenue, and profitability. 

Accountabilities:

  • Develop a winning and scalable sales strategy that generates revenue and achieves assigned goals.
  • Directly source deals using their own contacts and manage the sales lifecycle through close.
  • Develop and execute business plans to include prospecting, responding to inbound leads, shaping deals, solutioning, pricing, negotiating, finalizing sales contracts, closing deals, and managing customer relations.
  • Effectively construct and tell a compelling and clear story around the value proposition, both orally and in presentations.
  • Work closely with the Account Management and Delivery organization to foster a client-centric culture and cohesive team environment.
  • Deliver the required business outcomes to customers while protecting the interests of the executives’ team and stakeholders.
  • Be a key member of the senior management team and contribute to shaping the company’s overall strategy.

 Experience & Qualifications:

  • A deep understanding of, and interest in, the tech ecosystem with the ability to explain solutions in a simple and engaging way-- must be great at storytelling.
  • Ability to write and present proposals, respond to RFPs, and document activities.
  • Confident in interacting with and influencing senior leaders; with an ability to analyze data, synthesize and present results to C-Suite executives.
  • A solid professional network and a strong ability to build relationships with decision-makers.
  • Strong leadership skills and an ability to work with various teams inspiring them to deliver above and beyond.
  • Ability to work across boundaries, and collaboratively work towards a “One Identity”.
  • Business foresight and the ability to strategize and demonstrate deep business insight that helps identify and develop strategic opportunities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator with strong presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and driven with a demonstrated ability to work independently.

Qualifications

  • Brings more than 10 years of experience selling net new logos with a demonstrated track record of new services acquisition, through a consultative sales process focused on business led imperatives with decision maker and influencer contacts, successfully delivering against aggressive targets.
  • Experience as both a hunter and farmer within Business Process Management industry with a demonstrated track record of successfully delivering against aggressive targets.
  • Experience in managing and driving significant revenue growth in a Hi-Tech vertical with a global delivery model.
  • In-depth knowledge of CX solutions and operations.
  • Executive gravitas; confident calling at the C-level.
  • A passion for BPO/BPM and CX-- a thought leader, knows the industry, market trends, etc.
  • Digital Transformation Consulting experience, preferably Accenture, Deloitte, EY.
  • A proven and consistent track record exceeding revenue and order booking quotas.
  • Possess superior client facing skills, strong ability to articulate, and deliver compelling presentations.
  • Strong closing skills, coupled with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into client business terms.
  • Good understanding of the Onsite/Offshore delivery model and the associated pricing structures prevalent in the industry.
  • Strong value proposition, proposal creation and deal-structuring skills.
  • Comfortable traveling up to 60%, as needed.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Number of deals signed / Total contract value signed / Quality of clients onboarded.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.

Compensation includes a competitive base salary range of $200,000 to $240,000 plus variable incentive. Salary is determined by location, experience, and internal equity.
