Job Description

Principal Duties:

The Solutions team provides operational support for all of AgileSRC’s client-facing projects, triaging issues while at the same time providing feature development support in parallel with the other developers. As a lead developer, we will look to you to guide our team, provide insights and identify and implement efficiencies and cost-saving solutions for AgileSRC and our client base. 

As an experienced software development leader with full-stack knowledge, you will build new applications, support and enhance existing systems, and integrate 3rd party applications into existing software infrastructure. You will interact with a wide range of clients, learn new workflows, and develop creative solutions to increase efficiency and productivity. You will apply your knowledge of cloud computing in your day-to-day development work, so having a certification or planning to get one is highly desirable. Our ideal candidate will thrive in a work environment that requires strong problem-solving skills, independent self-direction, and an aptitude for collaboration, open communication, and advanced leadership and mentoring skills. You excel at providing both highly analytical as well as highly creative ideas throughout the end-to-end design process. From planning to research, design, testing, and rollout, you’ll use your human-centered design approach, product mindset, and strong interpersonal skills to deliver results through cross-functional team collaboration with little to no guidance from leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on design projects across the entire product lifecycle and multiple product launches
  • Operate in a highly collaborative environment where you will work closely and guide junior/mid-level/senior developers to work on ideas, prototype, execute, and deliver functional designs.
  • Oversee small multi-disciplinary teams solving problems and coming up with solutions that apply perfect attention to detail and delight our clients
  • Be autonomous. You’ll take full ownership of your work, and you take responsibility for every detail, every step of the way.
  • Provide ongoing development support to our internal teams and client base
  • Mentoring team members and assisting with the bi-annual review process
  • Participates in planning for infrastructure improvements and new technologies to advance AgileSRC's mission to provide high-quality solutions for our staff and clients. 
  • Maintain up-to-date operational procedures to support our development standards.
  • Monitoring project progress and periodically updating project schedules, noting the achievement of milestones and issues requiring resolution.
  • Development of client status reporting as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with AWS/Azure is required, with the ability to deploy and maintain infrastructure. Certification(s) required & your resume will need to pinpoint your recent experience at a professional level.
  • Graduate-level degree preferred. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science (or similar) or equivalent technical experience (5+ years).
  • Five or more years of professional software development experience
  • Experience managing a team of developers (up to 4 or 5 team members)
  • The ability to function within UNIX/Linux server environments as an admin
  • Understanding and experience leading an Agile Software Development Process
  • Familiarity with cloud development in the healthcare, public, and private sectors is desirable.
  • Applicants must be planning to move or are already located in the Orlando area. We are currently in the office 3 days a week.
  • US Citizen or US Permanent Resident is required. IMPORTANT: The ability to sponsor a visa is not available for this role.

Ability to demonstrate mastery level in one or more of the following:

  • Java
  • Python
  • JavaScript / NodeJS
  • C#
