Job Description

  • Develops certification and accreditation documentation.
  • Periodically reviews the status of all information systems and/or networks to ascertain that changes in the network infrastructure have been addressed and the certification and accreditation is updated to reflect any changes.
  • Reviews threat and vulnerability assessments to analyze the risk to Information Systems, networks, and determine appropriate measures to effectively manage those risks. Monitors network operations to ensure application of configuration standards.
  • Develops documentation and recommends procedures and business practices to keep tenant and subordinate units compliant with INFOCON program.
  • Conducts surveys and writes analyses with recommendations on operational systems maintenance using DOD, Army regulations, Army Networthiness, installation Configuration Control Board (CCB), Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Army IA Best Business Practices (BBPs) and current approved accreditation packages.
  • Assists with threat and vulnerability assessments to assess and determine effective measures to minimize risks and ensure information systems are operational and secure.
  • Develops, and assesses implementation of Information Assurance (IA) policies and plans. Reviews operations for compliance with policy and develops operating standards and procedures for the Information Assurance Program
  • Individuals filling positions identified as IT Level I or II (IT-I or IT-II) must attend the Systems Administrator (SA)/Network Management (NM) Security (Technical Level II) Course at Ft. Gordon, GA, or at an accredited ―mirror‖ training site within six months of assuming the position. Admission to this training requires satisfactory completion of both the Information Assurance Security Officer (IASO) Management Level I and Information Assurance Technical Level I courses.

Qualifications

  • MUST BE A US CITIZEN
  • Must have an active Secret Clearance
  • Must understand, speak, read and write the English language
  • Must have current DoD 8570.01–M certification(s)
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
