Job Description

As the primary Business Application and Research Analyst for Front Office, you will support the DISA Operations Directorate mission of running the NetOps centers and COCOM advocacy by writing and facilitating executive level presentations, documents and events for interaction within the DoD operations community of interest (COI). This includes effective communication with mission partners to ensure the proper command and control execution of DISA provided services and capabilities. You will provide expert level graphics support, analytical, technical, functional, administrative, and management support in the development and formatting of visual information for presentation, documentation and collaboration in support of the OPS NetOps mission and COCOM advocacy mission. The content of this work product will vary depending on the operations tempo at the time and tactical and strategic needs of the organization. As a key member of the A3T Team, you will also develop documents with minimum guidance using DISA standard templates, coordinating with the DISA Public Affairs Office (POA) when appropriate to ensure suitability for distribution by DISA outside of the Agency.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Provide conceptual and technical support to the Principal Director of Operations including support functions such as Presentation Development (i.e. Graphic Arts, Packaging and Distribution of Products)

  • Graphics Designer and Research Analyst:  Provide expert-level graphics artists support for SES, Generals, and Congressional level Government personnel

  • Develop presentations on a wide and diverse matter of topics with minimum guidance, using DISA standard templates, coordinating, as appropriate with PAO to ensure suitability and releasability outside DISA (Audience generally includes flag-level or Senior Executive Service personnel, members of Congress, private industry, other government sectors, and other components, agencies and offices of the Department of Defense)

  • Package and Distribute Products for distribution; may be reproduced in multiple media forms such as paper, compact disc, DVD, periodical (glossy magazine) or other forms available Employ multiple research techniques and interview procedures to gain the needed information to deliver Information Papers, White papers, Email Updates to requestor, SharePoint Wiki’s, Blogs, & Discussion Forums

  • Provide Official Event Management support for events to include scheduling and coordinating the
    event, physically setting up the event site, operating projection equipment, monitoring attendance, provide meeting notes and cleaning up the site

  • Provide basic Administrative support such as receiving visitors, answer incoming telephone calls,
    coordinating calendar scheduling, updating web content, and managing organizational email traffic

  • Analyze and critique graphic documents to achieve the desired objectives from both an Agency wide
    and project perspective.

  • Performs as a seasoned functional expert, is flexible, and has a record of 100% performance
    observed through routine inspection which meet/ exceed OPS technical support QASP metrics.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to meet unexpected high priority demands in creating high-level presentations for the Deputy Secretary of Defense and Chief Information Officer visit on short notice.

  • Provide assistance and support of other analysts in the preparation of final presentations in
    articulating outcomes and solutions.

  • Support the Principal Director of Operations in DISA, flag-level officers, Senior Executive Service Personnel, members of Congress, and various Offices of the Department of Defense in providing analytical, technical, and management

  • Demonstrates the Institutional knowledge in the DISA OPS vernacular and understanding of the
    interrelationships of the various directorates; where the learning curve is flat.

  • Projects the disposition to handle demanding schedules in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates proven experience supporting and working efficiently with senior-level personnel.

  • Support in the development of visual information for presentations with minimum supervision.

  • Create graphics for a wide variety of documentation (banners, illustrations, diagrams, brochures,
    posters, exhibits, and point-of-contacts) using Adobe software

  • Participate in proof and press sheet inspections to review and ensure proper layout and context.

  • Site manager responsible for maintaining and managing the GOB (GIG Operation group)
    SharePoint website.

  • Knowledgeable of security concepts, principles, practices, and procedures for classified information.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Expertise: 

  • Clearance: Top Secret (SCI)

  • Education: Bachelors of Science (Technical related field)

  • The knowledge and ability to research various subject areas in the Operations domain as well as
    DISA and the Department of Defense areas of responsibility

  • 3-5 years’ experience preparing executive-level Power Point Presentations (Other formats as requested), Graphic Arts, Reproduction of Products, Information Papers/White Papers, SharePoint Wiki’s, Blogs, Web Posts, Discussion Forums & other administrative tasks

  • Expert level graphics expertise and skills

  • Hosting events or experience as a principal lead for official events such as conferences,
    briefings, and orientations

  • Knowledgeable of Microsoft (MS) SharePoint, MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
    Outlook, InfoPath, etc…), able to effectively operate multi-function telephonic requirements, and knowledgeable of web based technologies (e.g. wikis, blogs, html, etc.)

  • Demonstrate and present professional appearance at all time

Desired Skills:

  • Operate VTC and groupware equipment, and provide training or assistance on the conference room equipment as required
