Job Description

Support activities needed to obtain certification and accreditation on all the networks, equipment and systems at all classification levels under the purview of the Designated Approving Authority (DAA). This will include but is not limited to systems owned and/or operated by Pentagon Installation Campus Area Network (ICAN), the Headquarters Enterprise Network (HEN), the Headquarters Classified Enterprise Network (HCEN) and other HQDA agencies. Support administration of the Connection Approval Program (CAP) and Tenant Security Process (TSP) in accordance with Army, DOD, Joint, Intelligence Community regulation or policy to support tenant organizations as well. Providing these tenant organizations with CAP support throughout the life cycle of their system. Report to government when systems are non-compliant as well as when new packages are established.

Responsibilities:

1) Administer the USAITA Connection Approval Process (CAP) program to include the following responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and publish the Connection Approval Process implementation memorandum by the Executive Director
  • Ensure required CAP documentation is obtained from all current and new customers 
  • Review all packages received for completeness and accuracy and maintain CAP Packets
  • Maintain CAP documentation for each connection to USAITA backbones
  • Ensure that packages are updated when there are modifications, additions or changes to tenant networks 
  • Ensure all packages are updated at least annually

2) Administer the Tenant Security Plan (TSP) Process for all tenants that connect to the Installation Campus Area Network (ICAN) and the HEN and HCEN and provide Tenant Security Plans for IAPM review and signature.

3) Review all applicable documentation with the agency point of contact to ensure accuracy and completeness in identifying all information systems that connect to the ICAN/HEN/HCEN.

4) Support Customer efforts to certify and accredit standalone equipment.

5) Maintain a complete and accurate identification of all information systems that connect to the  ICAN, HEN and HCEN.

6) Support and assist in coordination of Agent of the Certification Authority (ACA) visits and provide ACA Audit Reports 

Qualifications

  • Education Requirement:
    - Bachelor's degree
  • Years of Experience:
    - 5+ years of experience in certification and accreditation in RMF or DIACAP
  • Certification Requirements:
    - 8570.01-M IAM DoD Level 2 certification (CAP, GSLC, CISM, CISSP)
    - PMP (preferred not mandatory)
  • Experience Requirements:
    - Proficient with RMF process, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253
    - Demonstrate leadership skills
    - Has customer service experience/skills 
  • Security Clearance: Secret
  • 3 or more years in IT Security experience in Army, DOD, or IC
