Job Description

SharePoint Developer/Content Manager – Should be able to apply current graphics design and .NET technologies to develop, modify, maintain SharePoint server portals. Design, develop, and manage site content and capabilities and provide daily onsite maintenance of the existing MOSS portals. Participates in the testing process through business process review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software development. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Work and coordinate with project stakeholders on a daily basis. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Knowledge and understanding of SharePoint collaboration governance, documenting and maintaining configuration and process information, and of handling data retention & recovery requirements of SharePoint Farm Site Collections.
  • Knowledge of and skill in administering Microsoft Office SharePoint Central Admin; and the underlying hardware, operating system, network ports and protocols.
  • Detailed and specific knowledge of the work processes, data models, work rules, and file/database designs applicable to the organization's mission.
  • Knowledge of InfoPath and QualTrax end-user forms development, deployment, and integration with other networked database applications. Knowledge of workflows, both Out of the Box (OOTB) and customized through SharePoint Designer and QualTrax Designer applications.
  • Implementation of SharePoint-based workflows as well as development of Business Intelligence dashboards.
  • Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
  • Experience as a SharePoint Developer in the analysis, design, hands-on development and delivery of web-based applications.
  • Experience with SharePoint’s application services framework including implementation, configuration, and usages of Search, Managed Metadata, and User Profile Services.
  • Experience with SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, Web Parts, and workflow creation.
  • Design and manage the overall content, design and functionality from a customer and user perspective based on organizational workflow processes.
  • Design, develop and deploy custom web parts, web templates, workflows and other solutions using SharePoint 2013.
  • Provide guidance to the Site Owners on the design, taxonomy, content relevance and naming conventions for their sites/pages.
  • Review and assesses site accessibility and search capability in accordance with organizational polices and guidance and users permission.
  • Review stored files in order to ensure current and relevant information is stored on SharePoint and older files are either stored on network shared drives or archived.
  • Manage the overall architecture and technical functionality of site collection and subsites.
  • Coordinate and communicate with DISA DEPS, site owners, content managers and end users to include workflow processes, templates, metadata and storage capacity.
  • Participates in development and testing as needed and create custom forms.

Qualifications

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 3-5 years of general IT / IS experience. (Six (6) years of general experience is considered equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree. With a Master's Degree, three (3) years of general experience is acceptable. With a PhD, 1 year of general experience is required.)
  • Must possess and maintain a current DoD approved Information Assurance (IA) baseline security certification as well as current commercial Computing Environment (CE) certifications for the operating system(s) and/or security related tools/devices they support IAW DoDD 8570.01M, DoDD 8140.01, and Army Regulation 25-2.
