• Senior level architect in the design, development and integration of information assurance architecture, system, or system component for use within data center, network, and enclave environments. 
• Participates in information systems risk assessments and designs security countermeasures to mitigate identified risks. 
• Ensures that the architecture and design of DoD information systems (IS) are functional and secure. 
• Conducts formal analysis of alternatives between potential products. 
• Prepares white papers, reports, product evaluations, and policy documents. 
• Reviews, analyzes, and implements DoD Policy and Directives within DoD and other Federal agencies. 
• As necessary, designs and develops IA or IA enabled products, interface specifications, and approaches to secure the environment. 
• Utilizes senior level expertise and judgment to plan and accomplish enclave security related analysis and goals.
• Assesses threats to the environment and provides input on the adequacy of security designs and architectures. 
• Reports to senior IA architect, IA manager, or DAA for most operations with separate reporting to other senior management for network operational requirements, as necessary. 
• Utilizes experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  

Education/Experience: 

• Top Secret Security Clearance (Day 1 Requirement)
• BA/BS in a technical or managerial discipline and PgMP or PMP certification with at least 5 years of experience OR 10-12 years of demonstrated experience in Information Assurance designing, developing and implementing Identity Management (IA) and COMSEC technologies and building network identity architectures, analysis and plans OR 3 years demonstrated experience in developing Army policy, planning documents and conducting studies/analysis OR a doctorate degree in any S.T.E.M. related hard science (i.e. non-liberal). 

Certifications: Compliant with DoD Instruction 8570.1-M.
