Job Description

  • Under general supervision, assists with technology impact assessments for the application of new technologies or products on existing infrastructures. 
  • Conducts formal analysis of alternatives between potential products. 
  • Prepares white papers, reports, product evaluations, and policy documents. 
  • Reviews, analyzes, and implements DoD Policy and Directives within DoD and other Federal agencies. 
  • Designs, develops, engineers and implements solutions to MLS requirements. 
  • Gathers and organizes technical information about an organization's mission goals and needs, existing security products and ongoing programs in the MLS arena. 
  • Performs risk analyses, which also includes risk assessment. 
  • Knowledgeable of Security/IA products such as PKI, VPN, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems. 
  • Analyzes and recommends resolution of security/IA problems on the basis of knowledge of the major IA products and services, an understanding of their limitations, and knowledge of the IA disciplines.

Qualifications

Education/Experience: 

  • Top Secret Security Clearance (Day 1 Requirement)
  • B.S. in a technical discipline (STEM) with at least 5 years of experience OR 10 years of demonstrated experience in Information Assurance designing, developing and implementing Identity Management (IA) and COMSEC technologies and building network identity architectures, analysis and plans OR 3 years demonstrated experience in developing Army policy, planning documents and conducting studies/analysis OR a doctorate degree in any S.T.E.M. related hard science (i.e. non-liberal). 

Certifications: Compliant with DoD Instruction 8570.1-M.
