The Internal Auditor is responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes within the farm. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, protects farm assets, and promotes operational transparency and accountability.

Job Description
- Conduct periodic internal audits across departments, including finance, procurement, and operations.
- Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
- Identify financial, operational, and compliance risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present audit reports to senior management with actionable recommendations.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions.
- Support external audits and coordinate audit documentation and responses.
- Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and compliance across all teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA is an advantage).
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in internal auditing, preferably in the agriculture or manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of risk assessment, internal control frameworks, and compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, accounting, and audit software tools.
- High ethical standards, attention to detail, and integrity.
Familiarity with the agricultural landscape and regulatory environment in Nigeria.
