We are looking out to hire a reliable and well-experienced Farm Manager to join our capable team of professionals.
The Farm Manager will be able to maintain a professional networks and keep abreast of development in agricultural sciences to help Agbeyewa improve yields and deal with setbacks
Job Description
- Analyzing existing operations, crops, staff, financial documents and recommending improvements.
- Prepare plans and schedules for planting and harvesting and ensuring staff understand expectations.
- Ensure farm supervisors and officers are delivering on their task as appropriate.
- Visiting the different divisions to inspect crops and also perform tests on soil.
- Ensuring seeds, fertilizer, pesticide and other supplies are regularly stocked.
- Schedule repairs, maintenance and replacement of equipment and machinery.
- Ensuring all staff adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Assisting with recruiting and training of new staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture, Animal science or a similar field.
- Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in Farming-related field
- Additional course in business management or Administration is recommended
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, critical thinking skills.
- Ability to make decisions in stressful environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willing to work overtime as required.
- This role is in Ekiti state, you must be either residential or willing to relocate to Ekiti
