- Reporting to the Board, the CEO is responsible for developing and refining the company’s strategy and implementation of its business plan to meet the company's mission of building a world-class agribusiness brand
- The CEO’s primary responsibility is to drive the mission of Agbeyewa Farms as a world-class agribusiness development company focused on the Nigerian and African markets
- Manage the growth and development of Agbeyewa Farms, including managing the onsite and remote staff and advisors, as well as other subsidiary of Agbeyewa Farms Nigeria.
- Model the company principles and continually reinforce the company culture. Work with the Owners and Board to define and set the vision of the company.
- Provide enterprise leadership by developing, motivating, and instilling confidence in associates and supporting the in-country operations of Agbeyewa Farms in Ekiti State, Nigeria, and any other location.
- Define and execute the strategic plan, in line with Agbeyewa Farms-owned enterprises to advance the Company’s Vision.
- Conduct, identify and validate market needs, product requirements, competitive information, and other knowledge essential for our strategic efforts.
- Develop annual business plans and market growth plans, manage budgets, review structure, and establish clear management processes and expectations to deliver results.
- Ensure that the marketing and sales pipeline for all key business categories is managed proactively from target identification, through prospect development and the proposal development process, concluding with effective positioning and presentation to win the business.
- Ensure that existing business is managed proactively to mitigate risks, identify growth opportunities, and expand margins while identifying acquisition opportunities to further the Vision and Strategy of the Company.
- Achieve development impacts for local communities in all business activities. Review evidence of impacts and adjust approaches to achieve development targets and impacts.
- Preserve, champion, and leverage the Agbeyewa Farms brand to further the Company’s market position as a leader of quality fresh produce, cassava and starch products, cocoa, cashew, and other related products.
- · Direct Company budget process and business plans and present strategic progress and results to the Owners and the Board of Directors. Review the results of operations and objectives quarterly with the Board of Directors.
- · Own the Company’s finance and operations activities to ensure consistence and excellence across board.
- · Identify and pursue investment opportunities that complement company strategic plans. Work with consultants to mobilize finance from international development finance agencies to gain finance for company projects. Seek partnerships with strategic partners, equity funds, and International Finance Institutions.

Qualifications
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree Business Administration or any other management related discipline. Master’s in business administration (MBA) is mandatory.
Minimum of 15 years’ experience managing business operations and administration. Experience in multinational agribusiness and agricultural commodity trading will be an added advantage irrespective of Nationality.
Experience in project development, strategic planning and execution, project finance, including the ability to develop financial plans, interpret financial data, and good understand of general accounting procedures.
Experience in and knowledge of operations and implementation of business and development activities in countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Industry knowledge especially in produce such as: cassava, yam, rice, cocoa, oil palm, cashew, animal feed, poultry, aquaculture, and related agricultural value chains is required.
Knowledge of leadership, communication, and public relations techniques to interact with a variety of people.
Proven experience in developing long-term relationships with partnering organizations with strong communication skills including written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to motivate teams and associates towards successful goal accomplishment.
Proven ability to manage several projects at one time.
