Our client, a large electronics company in Austin, TX is looking for a Methods Technician.  Long-term opportunity!

Job Description

Provide assembly methods engineering support in the development, implementation and documentation of production processes in the manufacture of electronic assemblies.  

 

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES / DUTIES:

  1. Establish and maintain equipment programming for Siemens X series equipment.
  2. Work with Supplier and Process Engineering to establish programming methodology.
  3. Implement training for Methods programmers.
  4. Installation of programming tools.
  5. Manage licensing of software, in conjunction with IT department.
  6. Write and maintain all required documents for Methods pertaining to Siemens.
  7. Manage collection and transfer of traceability data to FlexFlow.
  8. Interact with Operations and Engineering on a regular basis.

 

Qualifications

REQUIRED Basic Qualification:

  • Asscociates Degree or minimum of 5 years experience in related field.
  • Advanced Computer skills required
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Siemens SiPlace  (other Pick and Place equipment programming knowledge will be considered)
  • GC Prevue
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. 

Preferred Qualifications (nice to have skills):

  • FabMaster Assembly Expert
  • Vb.net
  • Ability to operate SMT equipment
