Job Description

Reports to: Director of Branch Operations

Primary Purpose: ADMAR is undergoing tremendous growth and we are seeking highly qualified individuals to help us grow. The purpose of the Manager-in-Training program is to identify individuals who meet the qualifications below and wish to advance their career into a management position and run their own branch.

Essential Functions:

  • Must be willing to travel extensively throughout the ADMAR branch network to work with various departments in order to understand workflow, policy, standard usiness practices, accumulate knowledge about our customers and markets, equipment benefits / features, understand financial models, and behave in the capacity of a coach and mentor to a branch or corporate team,
  • To be successful, the candidate must master the ADMAR operational and sales functions in order to lead a branch team of anywhere from 15-50 personnel, who sometimes have competing interests, within a highly competitive,fast paced business, focused on providing best in class customer service.
  • The candidate will reside in various geographical locations for anywhere from a week to 2 months, At the end of the training, you must be willing to relocate to any geographical location we offer. This could be the northeast, mid-Atlantic or mid-western US. During the training period, the candidate will be evaluated at each stage and must exhibit steady progress in order to be considered for advancement. The program will last approximately 6 to 8 months.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Must exhibit a high level of professionalism, energy, and urgency.
  • Must be highly collaborative with well-developed interpersonal skills and strong communication skills (public speaking / writing).
  • Familiarity with various ERP systems, and knowledge of purchasing, accounting and financial methodologies.
  • Must have had some management experience as well as strong background in sales, as either a manager or salesperson.
  • Some understanding of P&L oversight and financial concepts as; ROI, calculating margins and budget development.
  • Innovative and critical thinker with a goal oriented personality.
  • Familiarity with HR concepts such as conflict resolution and progressive discipline and managing to a HR policy handbook.
