Job Description

We currently have an opportunity for an Outside Sales Representative out of our Rochester, NY Branch. The Outside Sales Representative will oversee the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and cold calling, to order fulfillment and training clients.  You will be expected to develop new business, while managing existing accounts within the region. This position will include a generous one year guarantee in order to provide sufficient time for the sales representative to successfully develop the market. The targted market is expected to sustain a six figure salary. For this to occur, the candidate must have had atleast 5 years proven experience within the construction equipment rental industry with verifiable references from within the industry. In addition, the company will provide a company truck, cell phone, laptop, medical benefits, matching 401K, paid time off and more. Relocation is available for the qualified candidate.

  • Sell and/or rent equipment
  • Sell supplies and new equipment
  • Prepare rental and sales quotes for customers and potential customers
  • Achieve targeted goals for new and used equipment sales and supply sales
  • Schedule equipment demos to promote sales and rentals
  • Organize daily schedules and sales calls working with Sales Manager to efficiently manage time
  • Give input to Sales Manager regarding equipment purchases for rental fleet and resale
  • Prepare and maintain up to date call reports to submit to Sales and Branch Manager on a weekly basis
  • Continually improve product knowledge and stay up to date on new products

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 5 years of sales experience in a construction or industrial product field
  • An Associate’s (2 Year) degree is preferred
  • Record of success in growing sales revenue and client base
  • Should have a persuasive and engaging personality, possessing the ability to develop and sustain customer relationships in a fast-paced, competitive environment
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record
  • Experience working in construction industry (preferred)
