Job Description

Reports to: Director of Branch Operations

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct on-boarding training of new employees, ensuring continuity across all branches
  • Design / implement / train various operational and sales processes as necessary. This includes but is not limited to:
    • Customer service skill development for counter reps / service writers / sales team
    • Best practices for sales interaction / upselling add on sales
    • AS400 procedures
    • Phone skills training
    • Develop course material to support operation and other sales activity
    • Support the ADMAR Experience by partnering with the DBO
  • Ensure reps attend required dealership sponsored training events.
  • Develop testing procedures to track and grade sales reps knowledge base.
  • Train counter reps in spec / technical expertise.
  • Conduct anonymous counter sales calls / secret shopper activity - track and grade.
  • Evaluate and recommend action items through analyzing survey results.
  • Train sales team on warranty sales / upselling and cross selling.
  • Build on-line sales training program - ADMAR Academy.
  • Train CRM use and ensure compliance.
  • Assist in developing enhanced review process for sales and counter rep grading.
  • Assist in the development and tracking of market share compliance for dealership lines.
  • Oversight of Learning Management System. Tracking course completion, testing and competency.
  • Work with Dealership lines for product knowledge training.
  • Act as an agent of change to improve overall personnel performance, recommend new ideas, offer insight and opportunities for improvement by analyzing common issues across the branch network.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

 

 

Qualifications

Required Experience / Education:

  • Proven track record of collaborating with senior management in the development and sustainability of a corporate training department.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum of 4 years' corporate training experience in the equipment rental business or equivalent combination of education and experience. Mechanical knowledge desired.
  • Relevant experience running a corporate training program and management of a corporate LMS.
  • Requires extensive travel throughout the branch network
  • Strong public speaking skills
  • Ability to communicate roles, responsibilities, and expectations
  • Technical sales training for dealership and non-dealership product lines in features and benefit
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of cutting edge training best practices
  • High level of customer relations skills
  • Strong verbal skills to work with Mechanics and customers
  • Valid driver's license
