Job Description

What you'll do: 

Within Finance we act as a trusted business partner protecting, creating, and driving sustainable stakeholder value through one innovative team.  The Group Regional Controlling team works with market finance teams to ensure the accuracy of finance numbers across all of Adevinta’s market segments. The team collaborates with external auditors on market specific audit queries and challenges, and interprets financials into meaningful insights for senior management.

As our Reporting & Controls Specialist, you will support the Reporting & Controls Lead, ensuring the day-to-day delivery of complete, accurate and timely reporting as defined by regulation and industry practice. You will monitor daily reporting controls and conduct data analysis on l

Key responsibilities:

  • Support monitoring of controls, identification and root cause analysis of reporting issues, and BAU management of key deliverables for reporting

  • Perform the day-to-day delivery of complete, accurate and timely reporting as defined by regulation and industry practice

  • Support the entire controls process of preparing external reports and earnings statements, by gathering and documenting data and preparing reports for regulatory compliance

  • Support in standardising the reporting process while also working to improve and streamline it

  • Monitor daily reporting controls; identify and provide transparency into reporting issues whilst working with key stakeholders across the business and technology to remediate any gaps

  • Conduct data analysis on large data sets to identify root causes of complex issues

  • Work closely with colleagues from external BPO provider to ensure transparent and aligned objectives

  • Support in addressing questions arising from regulators, compliance assurance and internal audit



 Who you are:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent) qualified accountant OR Degree/Masers in Finance 

  • Previous external financial audit experience in a big four is highly preferable

  • Finance controlling and reporting experience, with specific industry knowledge in technology & online business retail

  • Experience in designing Internal Controls or SOX controls and building RACM preferably on internet/media companies

  • Experience in process automation and process mining

  • Strong working knowledge of SAP S4, Blackline and OneStream capabilities or similar software

  • Experience in collaborating with external BPO providers

  • Proven success in influencing strategic business decisions & driving improvements to business performance

  • Acting with integrity and high attention to detail, analytical, highly organised and good at managing high workload

  • Fluent English is essential, while additional languages are an advantage (French and Spanish in particular)
