Job Description

Shpock is recruiting a Product Designer to help define and build the core seller experience of our mobile marketplace. You'll translate ideas and problems into validated solutions. Today Shpock is reaching millions of people. Your role is at the center of this to unlock the true potential of our platform.

What you will do

  • Be the product designer for one of our core cross-functional squads

  • Be the voice of the customer and a champion of good design practices within the company

  • Partner with the product manager and tech lead in the squad to distill solutions from a broad problem space

  • Take ownership of design in your squad and conceptualise the experiences that have high impact and create value for our users

  • Collaborate with and support other members of the Design team.

  • Create sketches, wireframes, and hifi prototypes which synthesise user data and research

  • Design elegant flows & interactions for an audience of millions of users across platforms

  • Lead the product design within the squad end-to-end from research, through UX and UI, to micro-interactions and delight.


You have

  • Deep expertise as a product designer, with an ability to focus on the details, but also at an abstract and conceptual level

  • A proven track record of building world-class native mobile experiences, which you can demonstrate with a strong portfolio

  • Ability to understand, conceptualise, and improve on complex user journeys 

  • Experience with high quality design assets and design systems, providing consistency on our platform and improving our design process

  • A radical user-first mindset, making things functional before they are made beautiful

  • Experience with rapid prototyping and user testing, with an ability to empathise with users and a general openness to adapt your solution if needed

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Invision, and Principle

  • Experience with marketplaces or e-commerce products, would be nice

We offer an attractive salary for this position based on your qualifications and experience. Austrian law requires us to post a minimum salary for this position, which is € 35.000,- gross per year (for a full-time job). Of course we are ready to pay more.
