Job Description

The Business Analyst creates and manages the design of the web applications using a creative vision and strong understanding of web navigation and information architecture. Creates digital products and services that work across multiple channels, devices, browsers and platforms. Builds accessible, user-centered experiences and solutions that use the latest standards in development practices. Provides recognized business knowledge and subject matter expertise in analyzing and collaborating on business opportunities and IT-based solutions for a specified business area. They are responsible to ensure the technical delivery intersects with the design to produce a cohesive and consistent user experience.

  • Builds network of relationships with stakeholders, developers, designers, technical analysts and internal/external customers. 
  • Elicits, captures, analyzes, refines, articulates and documents user stories, acceptance criteria and software documentation for business, user, functional and non-functional requirements.  
  • Creates deliverables independently and in conjunction with the business area and other team members and manages approvals. 
  • Balances business requirements with technical feasibility and sustainability. 
  • Identifies impact to other solutions or projects and works with cross-functional teams to provide options and recommendations. 
  • Synthesizes complex information into concise, readable, unambiguous language. 
  • Ensures that appropriate project documentation is produced throughout the Agile project lifecycle. 
  • Contribute in developing organizational functional knowledge. 
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities, tasks and coordinate various channels of communication at the same time. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 yrs. experience on increasingly challenging projects in business, or systems analysis 
  • Thorough understanding of critical IT processes - project lifecycles, Agile, and SDLC Proven analytic skills, troubleshooting issues, and providing recommendations 
  • Previous experience with healthcare interoperability such as HL7 is preferred. 
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and the ability to bridge gaps in understanding, and moving the team towards a common delivery 
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills required to interact with staff, colleagues, management and internal/external customers 
  • Self-motivated and creative thinker
