We are seeking a highly motivated and data-savvy BI Analyst to support our Human Resources organization, specifically focusing on Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Talent Management, and Learning & Development. If you are passionate about data, HR processes, and driving complex people-related insights and automation, we want to hear from you.
As a Data Analyst, Human Resources, you will leverage advanced analytics, automation, and HR modeling to support the various functions within the HR department. You will design and optimize processes to streamline reporting for talent acquisition, compensation, employee development, and ensure data accuracy across all HR systems. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will deliver actionable insights through tools like SQL, Google Sheets, and Tableau to drive strategic HR decisions. Your role will include ongoing support, troubleshooting data, and maintaining developed processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & HR Analytics Foundation
- Perform large-scale data analysis to support HR business goals, including extraction, transformation, and translating results into actionable insights.
- Design and maintain Tableau dashboards, curated datasets, and semantic layers for key HR metrics (e.g., attrition, headcount, hiring, mobility, performance, engagement).
- Assess HR data sources (HRIS, ATS, performance tools) to improve data quality, consistency, and governance.
- Partner with HR leadership to define standard metrics, definitions, and reporting frameworks for clarity and trust in HR data.
Predictive & Forward-Looking Insights
- Build predictive models to identify attrition risk, hiring bottlenecks, and workforce trends.
- Deliver insights beyond descriptive analytics, focusing on “what’s likely to happen and why.”
- Collaborate with HR leaders to translate predictive insights into early-warning signals and proactive interventions.
Support Hiring & Talent Development
- Analyze hiring funnel data to optimize metrics such as time-to-fill, quality of hire, and candidate conversion.
- Identify patterns in career progression, skill gaps, promotions, and internal mobility in partnership with Talent and HRBPs.
- Support workforce planning and future talent needs through scenario modeling and trend analysis.
Enable Better Decision-Making
- Create executive-ready insights and storytelling for senior leaders, translating complex data into clear recommendations.
- Educate HR partners on using data for decision-making and measuring impact.
- Ensure reporting accuracy through validation, documentation of HR metrics and logic, and enablement of self-service tools.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with HR, Finance, Technology, and Data Engineering teams to define reporting requirements and document HR workflows, including pain points and resolution plans.
- Partner with Technology and Data Engineers to extract, model, and prepare data from HRIS and other systems to ensure reliable foundations for HR analytics.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Master's degree is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in BI development or HR analytics with strong proficiency in Power BI and/or Tableau, with a focus on supporting Human Resources partners.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with HR process automation and platforms (e.g., HRIS, ATS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.

Work from home/hybrid:
We are proudly offering hybrid options in the Phoenix, AZ and San Francisco, CA metro market. We are offering 100% remote work in other approved locations.
Salary Range: $120,000 to $135,000 salary + bonus + benefits.
