Our Fairmont Spa is looking for a talented, experienced, and passionate Seasonal Hairstylist who specializes in men's and women's haircuts, professional hairstyling, blowouts, and elegant hairstyles for special occasions. From a classic gentleman's haircut to a sophisticated women's hairstyle, a polished blowout, or a beautiful bridal updo, your skills will help our guests look and feel their best during their stay at Lake Louise. We are looking for a versatile professional who enjoys working with a diverse international clientele, takes pride in exceptional service, and embraces the collaborative spirit of luxury hospitality.

What You Will Be Doing

Professional Men's & Women's Hair Services

As our Seasonal Hairstylist, your primary focus will be delivering exceptional hair services tailored to each guest's individual style and preferences.

• Provide professional haircuts for both men and women, including classic, modern, and contemporary styles.
• Conduct personalized consultations to understand each guest's hair type, preferences, desired look, and styling requirements.
• Deliver precision cutting, trimming, layering, and finishing techniques.
• Provide professional shampooing, conditioning, and hair washing services.
• Perform high-quality blow-drying and blowouts, including sleek, smooth, voluminous, and textured finishes.
• Create a variety of men's hairstyles, from classic professional looks to contemporary styling.
• Deliver women's hairstyling services, including curls, waves, straightening, braids, ponytails, and elegant updos.
• Create sophisticated hairstyles for weddings, celebrations, formal events, and special occasions.
• Provide bridal hairstyling and wedding party hair services when required.
• Offer personalized recommendations on haircare, styling techniques, and suitable professional products.
• Stay informed about current men's and women's hairstyling trends and techniques.
• Maintain excellent sanitation, cleanliness, and organization of all hairstyling tools, equipment, and workstations.

Experience in hair colouring is considered an asset but is not a primary requirement of this position.

Spa Reception & Guest Services Support

As part of our collaborative Spa team, the Seasonal Hairstylist will also assist with Reception and guest services during periods when hairstyling appointments are not scheduled.

Responsibilities may include:

• Welcoming Spa guests and assisting with general inquiries.
• Supporting Spa reservations, booking confirmations, and guest requests.
• Answering telephone calls and providing information about Spa services.
• Assisting with retail recommendations and product sales.
• Supporting payment processing and general administrative tasks.
• Maintaining a professional, organized, and welcoming Reception environment.
• Learning and utilizing the Spa reservation system following training.

Spa Attendant & Operational Support

During quieter periods, you will contribute to the smooth daily operation of the Spa by:

• Preparing Spa treatment rooms and guest areas.
• Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and luxury presentation standards.
• Restocking linens, amenities, refreshments, and supplies.
• Assisting Spa Therapists and colleagues with operational needs.
• Supporting guest refreshments and amenities.
• Participating in opening and closing duties when required.
• Ensuring all Spa areas remain welcoming and guest-ready.

This flexibility is an essential part of the seasonal role and supports the overall success of the Spa team.

• Comfortable working in a luxury hotel and Spa environment.
• Flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic about supporting the wider Spa team.

Working Conditions:

• Seasonal employment based on designated operational dates and business requirements.
• Flexible scheduling based on hairstyling appointments, hotel occupancy, and guest demand.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and special events.
• The successful candidate must be willing to support Spa Reception, Spa Attendant responsibilities, and general Spa operations when not providing hairstyling services.
• Reports directly to the Spa Director.
