Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Purchasing Supervisor to join our dynamic procurement team in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting and overseeing purchasing operations, working closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient, cost-effective procurement. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of procurement excellence while fostering positive vendor relationships.
- Support and supervise procurement activities by obtaining competitive quotations, conducting thorough market surveys, and analyzing pricing to ensure optimal value for the organization
- Coordinate with vendors to guarantee timely delivery of materials and services, follow up on outstanding orders, and resolve any delivery discrepancies with professionalism and efficiency
- Assist in vendor negotiations, registration processes, and purchase order management while maintaining transparent communication with all parties involved
- Develop and implement cost-control initiatives and monitor spending to support organizational budget objectives and financial goals
- Maintain accurate and updated supplier catalogs, inventory records, and comprehensive procurement documentation to ensure seamless purchasing operations
- Analyze vendor performance metrics and provide recommendations for continuous improvement and supplier optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand procurement needs and deliver customized solutions that align with organizational objectives
- Prepare detailed reports on purchasing activities, market trends, and vendor performance to support informed decision-making
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements applicable to operations in Saudi Arabia
Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 2 to 5 years of professional experience in purchasing, procurement, or vendor management, with demonstrated supervisory or leadership responsibilities
- Proven expertise in vendor coordination, negotiation, and relationship management
- Strong proficiency with ERP systems and procurement software; experience with procurement management tools is highly valued
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate market data and make data-driven decisions
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, organize complex information, and maintain meticulous records
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners
- Proficiency in budget management and cost-control analysis
- Fluent in English (written and verbal); knowledge of Arabic is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all procurement documentation
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative and supportive team approach
- Familiarity with procurement operations in the Middle Eastern market or Saudi Arabia is preferred but not required
