Job Description
Position Summary
Assistant People & Culture Manager is responsible for supporting the implementation of the hotel's people strategy by assisting in talent development, employee engagement, learning & development, recruitment, performance management, and daily Human Resources operations. This role works closely with department leaders to foster a positive workplace culture, enhance employee performance, ensure compliance with labor regulations, and support initiatives that contribute to employee growth and organizational success.
Learning & Development
- Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning and development initiatives aligned with the hotel's objectives and culture.
- Conduct training needs assessments in collaboration with department heads to identify development opportunities and address performance gaps.
- Coordinate, facilitate, and monitor internal and external training programs.
- Maintain and update the annual training calendar and training records.
- Track, analyze, and report training effectiveness and participation.
- Develop and maintain learning resources, training materials, and internal knowledge libraries.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development throughout the hotel.
- Build and maintain partnerships with educational institutions, industry associations, and external training providers.
People & Culture Operations
- Assist the Director of People & Culture in implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs.
- Support recruitment activities including candidate sourcing, interviewing coordination, onboarding, and orientation.
- Assist in employee relations matters and help maintain a positive workplace environment.
- Support performance management, talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure consistent application of People & Culture policies and procedures across all departments.
- Act as a point of contact for employees and assist in resolving workplace concerns professionally and confidentially.
- Support initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction, recognition, and well-being.
- Assist in organizing employee activities, engagement programs, and internal communication events.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, inclusion, fairness, and service excellence.
- Encourage employee participation in learning, development, and organizational programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management / Hotel Management.
- Minimum 3 years of training/facilitation and HR experience.
- Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and customer contact skills.
- Results and service oriented with an eye for details.
- Ability to multi-task, work well in stressful & high-pressure situations.
- A team player & builder.
- A motivator & self-starter.
- Well-presented and professionally groomed at all times.
