Job Description

We're looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Guest Service Associate (GSA) - Food & Beverage to join our dynamic hospitality team in Mysuru, India. In this role, you'll be the welcoming face of our F&B operation, delivering exceptional service experiences while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and efficiency. You'll work collaboratively with our kitchen and service teams to ensure every guest leaves with a memorable dining experience, while also driving revenue through strategic upselling and cross-selling initiatives.

  • Greet all guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their assigned tables with genuine hospitality and attention to detail
  • Perform opening and closing duties as assigned, including table setup, station preparation, and cleanliness verification according to established standards and procedures
  • Deliver F&B services in accordance with departmental standards, ensuring consistency and excellence in every guest interaction
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them promptly to the kitchen, ensuring timely delivery at the correct temperature
  • Serve all food and beverage items according to service standards, demonstrating knowledge of menu items and ingredients
  • Apply necessary precautions regarding hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP) to maintain a safe dining environment
  • Personalize guest experiences by remembering individual names and preferences, fostering loyalty and repeat business
  • Actively upsell and promote food and beverage offerings at every available opportunity to maximize sales revenue
  • Cross-sell other dining venues when your outlet reaches capacity, supporting overall organizational goals
  • Clear and tidy tables promptly after guest departure, maintaining a clean and organized dining space
  • Collect and verify food and beverage supply requisitions, ensuring accurate stock management
  • Report any complaints, incidents, or irregularities to management with transparency and professionalism
  • Assist other F&B outlets during peak times or as required, demonstrating flexibility and collaborative spirit
  • Maintain composure and resilience in fast-paced environments while delivering consistent, quality service

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food and beverage service or hospitality environment (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of F&B service standards, table setting protocols, and guest service procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP certification preferred)
  • Proficiency in upselling, cross-selling, and revenue-generating techniques
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, and move throughout shifts while carrying trays and service items
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and peak service times
  • Fluent English language proficiency, both written and verbal
  • Problem-solving abilities and resilience when handling challenging situations or guest concerns
  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative independently
  • Hospitality or customer service training (preferred)
  • Food Safety Certification (preferred)
