Job Description
Job Purpose
Lead the Housekeeping operation to ensure all guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house areas consistently meet the hotel’s highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, comfort and safety, while delivering an excellent guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, room presentation and maintenance throughout the hotel.
- Conduct regular room and public-area inspections and ensure rooms are ready on time.
- Manage daily Housekeeping operations, manpower, productivity and room priorities.
- Handle guest concerns and ensure prompt service recovery.
- Lead, train, coach and develop the Housekeeping team.
- Coordinate closely with Front Office, Engineering, Laundry and other departments.
- Manage linen, uniforms, amenities, cleaning supplies, equipment and inventories.
- Control departmental budget, payroll and operating expenses.
- Ensure compliance with hotel quality standards, LQA, safety, hygiene and sustainability requirements.
- Monitor guest feedback, inspection results and performance indicators and take corrective action.
Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ Housekeeping experience, including 3 years in a Housekeeping Manager or comparable senior role.
- Experience in an international Five-Star hotel or resort.
- Strong knowledge of Housekeeping operations, room inspection, hygiene, laundry, inventory and cost control.
- Experience with LQA or comparable quality standards preferred.
- Good leadership, communication and people-management skills.
- Good command of English and relevant hotel systems.
