Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and organized Room Division Manager to join our hospitality team in Mysuru, India. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all housekeeping and front office operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining operational efficiency and profitability. You will lead a diverse team, manage budgets, implement quality standards, and drive continuous improvement across all room division functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, decisive decision-making skills, and a commitment to operational excellence.

  • Supervise and manage housekeeping and front office staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures to ensure consistent service quality and guest satisfaction
  • Monitor room inventory, maintenance schedules, and equipment to maintain optimal property conditions
  • Manage departmental budgets, control labor costs, and optimize resource allocation
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to ensure compliance with hospitality standards and company policies
  • Address guest complaints and concerns professionally, implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences and operational alignment
  • Analyze occupancy rates, room revenue, and key performance indicators to drive business results
  • Develop and execute staff training programs to enhance service delivery and professional development
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for all room division operations
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations throughout the property
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement cost-saving initiatives

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in hotel housekeeping or front office management
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating diverse teams
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning standards, and hospitality best practices
  • Proficiency with property management systems (PMS) and hotel software applications
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to multitask effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated budget management and cost control experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required
  • Knowledge of revenue management principles and guest service standards
  • Experience with staff training, development, and performance management
  • Preferred: Hospitality management certification or relevant professional qualification
  • Preferred: Experience with revenue optimization and yield management
