Job Description
- Develop and implement sales strategies to grow revenue from the MICE and Corporate segments.
- Proactively identify, prospect, and secure new corporate accounts, event organizers, conference planners, travel management companies, and other potential business partners.
- Manage and develop existing key accounts to maximize room nights, meetings, events, and overall revenue contribution.
- Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, presentations, site inspections, and hotel familiarization visits.
- Prepare and present competitive proposals, quotations, corporate agreements, and negotiated rates in line with the hotel’s commercial strategy.
- Handle MICE and corporate inquiries professionally and ensure timely follow-up to maximize conversion opportunities.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and continuously identify new opportunities within the local and international markets.
- Work closely with Revenue, Reservations, Events, Banquets, Front Office, and other operational departments to ensure smooth execution of confirmed business.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, new business developments, and client requirements to identify revenue opportunities.
- Participate in networking events, trade shows, sales missions, exhibitions, and other business development activities as required.
- Conduct regular account reviews and maintain accurate client profiles, activities, opportunities, and production records in the hotel’s CRM/sales system.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, account production reports, and market intelligence as required.
- Ensure all contracted rates, credit arrangements, and commercial agreements comply with hotel policies and approved guidelines.
- Maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders within assigned accounts.
- Support the achievement of the hotel’s overall rooms, events, and total revenue objectives.
- Perform other sales-related duties as assigned by the Director of Sales or hotel management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hotel sales experience, with at least 1–2 years of experience handling MICE and/or Corporate accounts in a similar role.
- Previous experience within the Dubai/UAE hospitality market is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of the MICE, Corporate, Groups, Meetings & Events, and hotel room sales segments.
- Established network of corporate clients, event planners, travel management companies, and business partners within the UAE market is an advantage.
- Proven ability to develop new accounts, negotiate commercial agreements, and achieve sales and revenue targets.
- Strong knowledge of sales techniques, account management, business development, and market analysis.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and convert revenue opportunities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the wider Sales & Marketing and operational teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with hotel PMS, CRM, and sales systems is preferred.
- Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
