Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Guest Service Associate (GSA) - Food & Beverage to join our dynamic hospitality team in Mysuru, India. In this role, you will be the face of our F&B operations, delivering exceptional service experiences while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and efficiency. You will work collaboratively with our team to ensure every guest receives personalized, memorable service while contributing to our organization's success through outstanding operational execution and revenue optimization.

  • Greet all guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables, creating a welcoming atmosphere that sets the tone for their dining experience
  • Perform opening and closing duties as assigned, including table setup according to established standards and procedures
  • Inspect table settings, cleanliness, and side station preparation prior to service commencement to ensure all workstations meet departmental standards
  • Deliver F&B services in accordance with departmental standards and procedures, maintaining consistency and quality throughout service
  • Pick up and serve food and beverage orders promptly, ensuring items arrive at guests' tables at the correct temperature and in excellent condition
  • Apply necessary precautions regarding hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP) to maintain a safe dining environment
  • Remember individual guest names and preferences to extend personalized service and build lasting relationships
  • Actively upsell and promote food and beverage offerings at every available opportunity to maximize sales revenue and enhance guest satisfaction
  • Cross-sell other dining venues when the outlet reaches capacity, demonstrating knowledge of all F&B services and hotel amenities
  • Thank all guests for their patronage upon departure, leaving a positive final impression
  • Clear and tidy tables promptly after guest departure, ensuring efficient turnover for the next service
  • Collect food and beverage supply requisitions and verify that stock received matches the requisition accurately
  • Report any complaints, incidents, or irregularities to management transparently and promptly
  • Assist other F&B outlets during peak times or as required, demonstrating flexibility and collaborative spirit
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all F&B services, menu contents, preparation methods, and hotel services and features
  • Demonstrate proficiency with hotel fire and life safety procedures and emergency protocols
  • Attend all briefings, meetings, and training sessions as assigned by management
  • Report for duty on time, wearing a clean and complete uniform at all times
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene throughout all shifts
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by hotel management

Qualifications

  • Service-focused personality with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in hotel operations, F&B service, or related hospitality environment
  • Relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, or equivalent qualification (preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse guests and team members
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP certification preferred)
  • Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems and basic computer literacy
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and peak service times
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, and move throughout extended shifts while maintaining composure
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and resilience in handling challenging situations with grace
  • Demonstrated upselling and sales acumen to maximize revenue opportunities
  • Multilingual abilities, particularly knowledge of regional languages (preferred)
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining individual accountability
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and operational demands
  • Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and commitment to guest and staff safety
