We are seeking a valuable team member for the position of "Cluster Group & Banquet Sales Executive" to be considered at Rixos Tersane İstanbul.

Job Description

  • Handle and follow up Group & Banquet enquiries, including group accommodation, meetings, events, and banquet requests.
  • Prepare and submit proposals in line with the hotel’s availability, pricing, and selling strategy.
  • Follow up on proposals and enquiries to increase conversion into contracted business.
  • Generate new Group & Banquet sales opportunities and develop relationships with potential clients.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing accounts to generate repeat and additional business.
  • Re-engage past and inactive accounts to identify potential business opportunities.
  • Ensure all group and event reservations are accurately entered into the relevant systems with complete and correct information.
  • Communicate guest, group, and event details effectively to Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Banquet, Reservations, and other relevant departments.
  • Follow up on group arrivals and in-house accounts to support high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Identify and maximize upselling and cross-selling opportunities across hotel services, including rooms, restaurants, event spaces, and other revenue-generating outlets.
  • Support efforts to minimize revenue loss related to cancellations, no-shows, and booking amendments.
  • Monitor upcoming events, exhibitions, conferences, and business activities in Istanbul to identify potential sales opportunities.
  • Maintain awareness of competitor activities, market trends, pricing, and product offerings.
  • Support the preparation of weekly Group & Banquet forecasts, reports, and sales analyses.
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales, Revenue, Marketing, Reservations, and operational departments to ensure effective sales coordination.
  • Participate in client meetings, site inspections, sales calls, and other sales activities when required.
  • Follow up on client feedback and contribute to continuous improvement in service quality and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, brand standards, health and safety regulations, and operational procedures.
  • Attend required meetings, training sessions, and e-learning programs.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by the Manager in line with business and operational needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in Group Sales, Banquet Sales, Event Sales, MICE, or Corporate Sales, preferably within the luxury hospitality industry.
  • Good understanding of group bookings, meetings, events, and banquet sales processes.
  • Strong sales mindset with excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to prepare proposals, follow up enquiries, and support the sales closing process.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify upselling and revenue opportunities.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and events simultaneously.
  • Strong coordination and teamwork skills across operational departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with hotel PMS, CRM, or sales systems is preferred.
  • Good command of English; an additional foreign language is an advantage.
  • Flexible, proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hotel environment.
  • Strong team player with a guest-focused and results-driven approach.
