We are seeking an experienced and visionary Assistant Director of Loss Prevention to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this leadership role, you will be instrumental in developing and executing comprehensive loss prevention strategies to protect our organization's assets and maintain a secure operational environment. You will work collaboratively with senior management and cross-functional departments to identify vulnerabilities, investigate incidents, and implement innovative preventive measures. This position requires a professional approach to security matters, strong analytical capabilities, and a commitment to fostering a culture of integrity and accountability throughout the organization.
- Develop, implement, and oversee loss prevention policies, procedures, and security protocols across all operational areas
- Lead and mentor the loss prevention team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure consistent execution of security standards
- Conduct comprehensive facility inspections and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend strategic improvements
- Investigate suspected incidents of theft, fraud, policy violations, and security breaches; document findings in detailed reports and present recommendations to senior management
- Analyze loss data, trends, and patterns to develop data-driven preventive strategies and measure the effectiveness of loss prevention initiatives
- Manage surveillance systems and monitoring technologies; ensure proper maintenance and optimization of security equipment
- Collaborate with store management, human resources, and other departments to address security concerns, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions
- Conduct professional interviews with staff and customers during incident investigations while maintaining discretion and confidentiality
- Oversee inventory reconciliation processes and monitor inventory discrepancies to identify systemic issues
- Develop and deliver training programs on loss prevention best practices, security awareness, and compliance requirements to staff at all levels
- Maintain organized and comprehensive records of all incidents, investigations, corrective actions, and security metrics
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and strategic recommendations for executive leadership review
- Stay current with emerging loss prevention techniques, security technologies, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external security partners as needed
- Support budget planning and cost control initiatives related to loss prevention operations
Qualifications
**Required Qualifications:**
- Proven experience (5+ years) in loss prevention, asset protection, or retail security environments, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity
- Strong analytical and investigative skills with demonstrated ability to identify patterns, anomalies, and root causes
- Proficiency with surveillance and monitoring systems, including CCTV equipment and security technologies
- Excellent attention to detail and exceptional observational abilities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrated ability to organize, maintain, and analyze detailed documentation and records
- Comprehensive knowledge of security protocols, procedures, compliance requirements, and industry regulations
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to develop practical, innovative solutions
- Exceptional integrity and trustworthiness with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Physical capability to conduct facility inspections and monitoring activities
- Leadership and team management experience with proven ability to motivate and develop staff
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships across all organizational levels
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience with inventory management systems and reconciliation processes
- Knowledge of retail operations and customer service environments
- Proven ability to train, mentor, and develop team members on security procedures and best practices
- Experience in budget management and cost control initiatives
- Familiarity with incident management and crisis response protocols
- Knowledge of local Saudi Arabian security regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience developing and implementing strategic security initiatives
- Certification in loss prevention, asset protection, or security management
