What you will be doing:

  • Oversee the daily operation of an assigned kitchen station.
  • Prepare, cook, and present menu items according to established recipes, specifications, and presentation standards.
  • Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and appearance at all times.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of mise en place and ensure readiness for service.
  • Monitor food quality throughout service and take corrective action when required.
  • Assist with menu development, recipe testing, and seasonal offerings as directed.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, labeling, and rotation of food products using FIFO practices.
  • Minimize food waste and support sustainable kitchen operations.
  • Conduct regular checks of food quality, storage, and cleanliness standards.
  • Report maintenance concerns, equipment issues, and safety hazards promptly.
  • Other duties assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of culinary experience in a hotel, restaurant, or high-volume culinary environment.
  • Culinary diploma or equivalent professional training preferred.
  • Valid Food Safe certification.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety practices.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
