Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented People & Culture Executive to join our dynamic team in Mumbai, India. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture while supporting our organization's strategic people initiatives. You will work collaboratively with leadership and employees at all levels to ensure our workplace reflects our values and supports employee engagement, development, and well-being. - Support the development and implementation of strategic people and culture initiatives that align with organizational goals and foster an inclusive, supportive work environment
- Coordinate recruitment and selection processes for various positions, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience and supporting the identification of top talent within and outside the organization
- Manage payroll administration, employee records, and compensation-related matters while ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements and local regulations
- Conduct orientation programs, onboarding activities, and three-month training plans to ensure new employees feel welcomed and supported in their transition
- Assist in organizing and facilitating performance appraisal processes, providing constructive feedback and coaching to support employee development and growth
- Support the design and delivery of learning and development programs that address current and future skill requirements across the organization
- Promote employee engagement and satisfaction through recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and regular one-on-one discussions with team members
- Maintain comprehensive HR records and generate analytical reports on key metrics including turnover, productivity, and engagement to inform strategic decision-making
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, ensuring fair and equitable treatment of all employees in recruitment, promotion, and workplace practices
- Coordinate employee welfare programs, flexible work arrangements, and support services to foster a healthy and balanced work environment
- Conduct exit interviews and manage offboarding processes with professionalism and respect
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, occupational safety and health regulations, and organizational policies across all people-related functions
- Collaborate with department managers to identify talent potential, develop succession plans, and support career progression opportunities
- Communicate organizational policies, procedures, and updates to all employees in a clear and transparent manner
Qualifications
**Required Skills and Competencies:**
- Strong proficiency in HR administration and payroll software systems
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Outstanding communication and listening skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all organizational levels
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and operate with complete professionalism in sensitive matters
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a natural ability to create and maintain a positive working environment
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret HR data and generate meaningful insights
- Proficiency in conflict resolution and negotiation
- Ability to work autonomously while also thriving in a collaborative team environment
- Flexibility and willingness to work outside normal business hours when required
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles
**Required Experience:**
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, or related administrative functions
- Demonstrated experience with payroll processing and statutory compensation requirements
- Familiarity with recruitment and talent acquisition processes
- Experience coordinating employee onboarding and orientation programs
- Knowledge of Indian labor laws, employment regulations, and compliance requirements
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience in the hospitality, corporate, or service industry
- Exposure to learning and development program coordination
- Experience with employee engagement surveys and satisfaction measurement
- Knowledge of occupational safety and health legislation and practices
- Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) and data analytics tools
- Previous experience supporting diversity and inclusion initiatives
