Job Description
As a Host of Pullman, you join a dynamic, highly visible, and approachable team. Your presence can be felt throughout the hotel as you welcome guests, build rapport, and facilitate exchanges – supporting guests and your team members through your proactivity and knowledge. You are a trusted resource, ensuring guests feel comfortable, engaged, and connected to the hotel, the brand, and the local culture throughout their stay.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the host of Pullman – As a brand ambassador, you have a knack for being in the right spaces at the right times, ensuring guests enjoy seamless and engaging stays that feel uniquely Pullman.
- Provide a warm welcome and farewell – guide guests upon arrival, acting as traffic controllers for the lobby space during high traffic moments.
- Take special care of VIP guests (ALL Platinum & Diamond) – send pre-arrival communications, arrange welcome amenities, and ensure thoughtful departure notes.
- Promote and upsell hotel services – highlight and book restaurants, rooms, spa/wellness treatments, concierge offerings, and other experiences.
- Be a source of knowledge – stay up-to-date on hotel services, events, local culture, and hotspots, providing accurate and relevant information to guests.
- Connect people and experiences – foster meaningful interactions between Heartists, guests, and locals to enhance the sense of community.
- Collaborate across teams – work closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Events, and Concierge to anticipate guest needs and resolve issues quickly.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Education: Degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent guest-facing experience.
- Experience: At least 1 year in guest-facing roles within hotels.
- Personality Fit: Naturally curious, tech-savvy, innovative, engaging, and comfortable sparking conversations.
- Languages: Proficiency in the market’s traveler primary language required, second language proficiency preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
• Warm, collaborative, and approachable personality.
• Knowledge of local lifestyle, culture, and dining to provide authentic recommendations.
• Ability to upsell hotel services naturally and confidently.
• Comfortable moving across multiple spaces and engaging different types of guests.
• Attentive to detail.
• Flexible, proactive, and energized in a fast-moving environment.
