Job Description

We are currently seeking an Executive Chef to lead our talented team. In this role, you will report directly to the Executive Assistant Manager demonstrating the ability to effectively manage priorities and maintain composure during times of challenge.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • A passion for people & the ability to create an inspiring team environment
  • Guest centric focus, creating the best experiences for our guest at every opportunity
  • Dedication to the craft, & the delivery of a superior creative culinary experience
  • Understanding of local guest expectations, produce & trends & reflecting these across our menus in all venues
  • Leading & mentoring a team to delivery their best across the property
  • Maintain excellent presentation standards & cost controls for all outlets
  • Maintain & implement programs to ensure high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and related outlets
  • Researching, recommend & liaise with Executive Assistant Manager regarding procedures to improve the overall efficiency of the department.
  • Prepare and submit capex proposals as required

Qualifications

Your skills & experience include: 

  • A trade qualification
  • At least 5 years leading a brigade of chefs
  • Experienced in Conference & Events, Al a Carte, & unique venues
  • Proven leaderships skills to lead a diverse team
  • Communication skills with team, guests & other stakeholders to ensure goals are achieved
  • Exceptional organisational skills as well as the ability to multitask.
  • A hands-on approach to solving problems
