Job Description

ibis Mackay is looking to welcome a Front Office All Rounder to join our growing Front Office team.  As a Front Office All Rounder, your mission is to ensure our guests enjoy their stay with us through providing warm, genuine and responsive service. 

The Role

  • Welcoming guests to the hotel whilst providing prompt, courteous and efficient check in and check out.
  • Assist with reservations tasks 
  • Assisting guests with requests and creating memorable experiences
  • Ensuring timely and efficient delivery of guest amenities and ensuring the security of our guests and their possessions.
  • Daily liaison with inter-departments such housekeeping for guest movements, requests and activities
  • Meeting and exceeding guest expectations and confident handling of customer complaints in an efficient and proactive manner 
  • Proudly promote the hotel facilities, looking for opportunities to enhance a guest’s stay 

 

    Qualifications

    What we are looking for

    • A natural ability to authentically connect with people
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a Hotel environment 
    • Strong computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and hotel PMS (preferably OPERA Cloud)
    • The ability to multi-task and think on your feet to quickly resolve issues
    • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail 
    • Exceptional communication skills
    • Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
    • Flexibility to work various shifts including week-ends, evenings, overnights and public holidays
    • Candidates to have full working rights for Australia
