Job Description
We are looking for a Purchasing Agent Intern to be part of the team at SLS Barcelona. Under the guidance of the Purchasing Manager, you’ll be responsible for the storage, distribution, maintenance and accounting of food and beverage, general supplies and maintaining the cleanliness of the storage area according to standards:
- Assist with the closing of Purchase Orders (POs) under the supervision of the Purchasing Manager, ensuring that all relevant documentation and procedures are properly completed.
- Support the Purchasing team in updating and maintaining data in the ADACO system, ensuring that information is accurate and up to date.
- Check receiving and storage procedures daily to ensure they are being followed.
- Be responsible for receiving, documenting, storing and issuing all goods and materials ordered.
- Verify that products are received, issued, documented, stored and ordered according to company guidelines.
- Issue received goods to the appropriate departments.
- Issue stock and supplies to staff submitting duly approved requisition forms, in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Keep requisition forms on file, ensuring they are properly completed and acknowledged by the requesting party.
- Ensure that all items stored in freezers are properly packed in plastic bags and appropriately labeled.
- Coordinate with other departments on warehouse operational matters when necessary.
- Keep the shipping and receiving log up to date.
- Take and maintain an accurate inventory of storeroom products
Qualifications
- You´re studying a bachelor´s/master´s degree in hospitality or a related field. - You have the possibility to sign an agreement with your school for a period of preferably 6 months.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- You take ownership of important issues, solve problems, and make effective decisions.
- You learn quickly and adapt to SLS’s unique culture.
