Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Security Manager to join our organization in Mysuru, India. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies to safeguard our personnel, visitors, assets, and facilities. As a decisive leader with strong analytical capabilities, you will oversee all security operations, manage a dedicated security team, and ensure adherence to the highest standards of safety and loss prevention.   • Develop, implement, and maintain robust security protocols and standard operating procedures to prevent theft, pilferage, and unauthorized access while ensuring the safety of all personnel and visitors on premises
  • Supervise, train, and mentor the security team to ensure consistent adherence to security policies, emergency procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and threat analyses to identify vulnerabilities and recommend strategic improvements to security infrastructure and processes
  • Investigate security incidents, including theft, property damage, and personnel injuries, while coordinating with external agencies and legal representatives to ensure proper documentation and resolution
  • Manage and oversee the protection of high-profile guests, executives, and government dignitaries, customizing security measures based on specific threat assessments and organizational requirements
  • Monitor and analyze security systems, access controls, and surveillance technologies to optimize effectiveness and identify opportunities for technological advancement
  • Prepare comprehensive daily activity reports and security documentation that accurately reflect all incidents, observations, and operational activities
  • Collaborate with department heads and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of security measures into daily operations and special events
  • Develop and deliver training programs focused on safety awareness, emergency response procedures, and security best practices to enhance organizational preparedness
  • Identify and cultivate high-potential team members, providing coaching and professional development opportunities to build a strong security leadership pipeline
  • Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal security regulations, health and safety legislation, and loss control policies
  • Manage security budgets efficiently while maintaining cost-effectiveness and optimizing resource allocation
  • Respond promptly to security concerns and emergencies, demonstrating resilience and sound judgment in high-pressure situations
  • Foster open communication with all stakeholders, maintaining transparency regarding security matters while respecting confidentiality and sensitivity
  • Participate in organizational meetings, briefings, and training sessions as assigned by senior management

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Minimum 4 years of overall security management experience, with at least 1 year in a Security Manager or equivalent senior security position
  • Comprehensive knowledge of laws pertaining to arrest, search, seizure, and investigation techniques
  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and loss prevention strategies
  • Strong understanding of safety, health, security, and loss control regulations and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and manage security teams effectively, with a track record of building high-performing units
  • Proficiency in risk assessment, threat analysis, and incident investigation methodologies
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in local languages is advantageous
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments while maintaining professional boundaries and assertiveness when necessary
  • Physical capability to perform security duties and respond to emergency situations

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Post-secondary education or relevant certifications in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field
  • Experience in corporate, hospitality, or high-security environments
  • Proficiency with security systems, access control technologies, and surveillance equipment
  • Certification in crisis management, emergency response, or advanced security training
  • Experience managing security budgets and vendor relationships
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with strong motivational and coaching skills
  • Knowledge of conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques
  • Industry networking and professional affiliations within the security sector
  • Experience developing and delivering security training programs
  • Familiarity with emergency preparedness and business continuity planning
