Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Cluster Director of Finance to join our prestigious hospitality organization at Raffles & Fairmont The Red Sea in Umluj, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic financial leadership and oversight across our luxury resort cluster, ensuring operational excellence, financial integrity, and sustainable profitability. You will work collaboratively with senior management to drive financial performance while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality service delivery.
- Oversee financial operations and performance across multiple properties within the cluster, analyzing variances and implementing corrective actions to achieve budgeted targets
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, forecasts, and analyses to senior leadership, providing actionable insights for strategic decision-making
- Develop, monitor, and manage departmental budgets and capital expenditure plans, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost control
- Lead and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of professional development, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory obligations specific to Saudi Arabia operations
- Collaborate with department heads to identify cost optimization opportunities and implement efficiency initiatives without compromising service quality
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions
- Analyze revenue streams, occupancy rates, and pricing strategies to support revenue management and profitability objectives
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities, maintaining transparent and professional relationships
- Support the Cluster Director of Finance in strategic planning, financial forecasting, and long-term financial sustainability initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in hospitality finance, with demonstrated expertise in multi-property financial management
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience managing finance teams
- Strong proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, generally accepted accounting practices, and hospitality-specific accounting standards
- Proficiency with financial management systems and accounting software (Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms preferred)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings clearly
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels
- Knowledge of Saudi Arabia's regulatory environment, tax requirements, and labor laws (preferred)
- Experience in luxury hospitality operations and understanding of high-end resort management (preferred)
- Familiarity with multi-currency operations and international financial management (preferred)
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent accounting qualification (preferred)
