Rixos Hotels is seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Sales Manager to join the team supporting the launch and ongoing commercial success of Rixos Phu Quoc, a landmark luxury all-inclusive resort in Vietnam.
Based in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi or Cam Ranh, the Sales Manager will be responsible for developing business opportunities within the assigned market, strengthening relationships with key travel partners, corporate accounts, MICE partners and distribution channels, and driving room nights and revenue to Rixos Phu Quoc.
The role will be highly market-facing, requiring regular engagement with clients and partners across Vietnam and the ability to translate market opportunities into measurable commercial results.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute sales activities to drive room nights, revenue and market share for Rixos Phu Quoc.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across leisure, corporate, MICE, wholesale, travel trade and other relevant segments.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts and strategic partners.
- Develop strong relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, DMCs, corporate accounts and other industry partners.
- Conduct regular sales calls, client visits, presentations and business reviews.
- Proactively identify new accounts and revenue opportunities within the assigned market.
Market Development
- Develop strong knowledge of the Vietnam market, including key feeder cities, customer segments, travel trends and competitive activity.
- Support the development and execution of market-specific sales plans.
- Build awareness of Rixos Phu Quoc within the assigned market and position the resort as a leading luxury all-inclusive destination.
- Identify opportunities to increase Rixos Phu Quoc's visibility through partnerships, sales missions, events and industry activities.
- Monitor competitor activity and market developments and provide relevant feedback to the commercial leadership team.
Pre-Opening & Launch
- Support the pre-opening sales strategy and commercial launch of Rixos Phu Quoc.
- Establish relationships with key accounts and travel partners ahead of opening.
- Build a strong pipeline of business and future bookings.
- Support sales blitzes, roadshows, trade events, exhibitions and client engagement activities.
- Work closely with the resort's Sales, Marketing and Revenue teams to ensure alignment of market strategies.
Account Management & Revenue Generation
- Achieve agreed individual and team sales targets.
- Maintain an accurate and active sales pipeline.
- Monitor account production and identify opportunities to grow existing business.
- Negotiate commercial agreements within approved guidelines.
- Ensure effective follow-up on all leads, enquiries and opportunities.
- Prepare regular sales activity reports, forecasts and market updates.
Brand Representation
- Represent Rixos Phu Quoc professionally within the assigned market.
- Communicate the unique “All-Inclusive, All-Exclusive” proposition to clients and partners.
- Attend relevant industry events, networking functions, trade shows and sales missions.
- Build strong relationships with both local and international stakeholders.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Director of Sales and wider commercial team to deliver the resort's business objectives.
- Collaborate with Revenue Management, Marketing, Reservations and Operations teams to maximise commercial opportunities.
- Share market intelligence, customer feedback and competitor insights with the resort leadership team.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a Sales Manager or similar commercial role within an international hotel, resort or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge and established network within the Vietnam travel trade and/or corporate market.
- Proven experience managing travel agencies, tour operators, DMCs, corporate accounts and/or MICE clients.
- Strong understanding of the Vietnam leisure and hospitality market.
- Experience selling luxury hotels, resorts or international hospitality brands would be highly advantageous.
- Experience with pre-opening, resort or destination sales would be an advantage.
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to generate business and achieve sales targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Strong networking skills and confidence representing the brand externally.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a regional and property-based commercial team.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned market and, where required, internationally.
- Fluency in Vietnamese and English is preferred.
