We are seeking an experienced Duty Manager – Night (Night Manager) to lead hotel operations during the overnight shift.

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation of the hotel overnight and will act as the senior Manager on Duty in the absence of Executive Management.

You will lead the Front Office team while coordinating overnight operations across Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Engineering to ensure the safety, security and satisfaction of our guests.

This is a full-time position based on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the overall hotel operation during overnight shifts.

• Lead and supervise the overnight Front Office team.

• Act as Manager on Duty and primary escalation point.

• Coordinate hotel departments to ensure efficient overnight operations.

• Complete the Night Audit and financial reconciliations.

• Monitor room inventory, occupancy and revenue opportunities.

• Resolve complex guest concerns and service recovery matters.

• Prepare daily operational and financial reports.

• Lead emergency responses and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.

• Coach and support team members while maintaining Accor brand standards.

To be successful you will have:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in hotel Front Office operations within a hotel.

• Previous experience supervising or leading a Front Office or hotel operations team.

• Knowledge of Night Audit procedures, revenue reconciliation and hotel operations.

• Experience using Opera PMS or a similar property management system will be advantageous.

• Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions during overnight shifts.

• Pay Rate - NZD $32.59 per hour
