Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchase Associate to join our procurement team in Mysuru, India. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our purchasing operations by managing purchase orders, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring efficient procurement processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, and a commitment to maintaining accuracy in all purchasing activities.

  • Process and manage purchase orders from requisition through delivery and invoice reconciliation
  • Maintain vendor relationships and communicate effectively with suppliers regarding orders, delivery schedules, and pricing
  • Analyze purchase requisitions and prepare detailed purchase orders with accurate specifications and pricing
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely procurement of materials and supplies
  • Reconcile invoices with purchase orders and delivery receipts to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain organized records of all purchasing transactions, vendor information, and procurement documentation
  • Assist in vendor evaluation and selection based on quality, cost, and delivery performance
  • Prepare purchasing reports and provide data analysis to support cost optimization initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures
  • Support the procurement team with administrative tasks and special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related administrative role
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong accuracy in data entry and documentation
  • Solid understanding of procurement processes, purchase order management, and vendor coordination
  • Analytical skills with the ability to review costs and identify opportunities for savings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective vendor and cross-departmental collaboration
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Preferred: Experience with ERP systems or procurement software
  • Preferred: Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices
  • Preferred: Experience in vendor negotiation and contract management
