Job Description
Under the guidance and supervision of the Senior Duty Manager/ Duty Manager, and in accordance with the established Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts policies and Operational Standards Manual (OSM), the Front Office Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Front Desk during assigned shift.
The Front Office Supervisor provides efficient, personalized, courteous and timely service while encouraging the team to practice up-selling techniques to maximize revenue opportunities. The role requires leading by example, fostering a positive team spirit and ensuring every guest receives exceptional service and leaves the hotel fully satisfied with the desire to return.
The incumbent must be thoroughly familiar with all Mövenpick corporate and local operational standards and ensure they are consistently implemented. The Front Office Supervisor is responsible for supervising Front Desk associates, monitoring daily operations, resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally and supporting the Front Office Manager in achieving departmental objectives, maintaining service excellence and ensuring compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Front Office or Guest Services role within the hospitality industry, with previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop team members.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English. Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional guest service.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Proficient in hotel Property Management Systems (PMS), preferably Opera Cloud, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Good understanding of Front Office operations, hotel policies, and guest service standards.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Well-groomed, professional, and service-oriented, with a positive attitude and attention to detail.
