Job Description

  • Lead and manage all engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel.
  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all hotel facilities and equipment.
  • Ensure the efficient operation of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire and life safety systems.
  • Maintain compliance with local regulations, health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Plan, manage, and oversee renovation projects and capital expenditure (CAPEX) initiatives.
  • Monitor utility consumption and implement energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.
  • Prepare and manage the departmental budget, forecasts, and maintenance expenses.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure timely resolution of maintenance requests to support smooth hotel operations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Engineering team while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a related field).
  • Professional engineering certification or membership is an advantage.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a senior leadership role within the hospitality industry.
  • Previous experience with Accor or an international hotel brand is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel building systems, preventive maintenance, CAPEX planning, energy management, fire and life safety systems, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
