Job Description
- Assist the Executive Housekeeper in planning, organizing, and overseeing the daily Housekeeping operations to ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas consistently meet the hotel's cleanliness, presentation, and brand standards while delivering an exceptional guest experience.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate the Housekeeping team by coordinating daily assignments, conducting inspections, providing coaching and performance feedback, and ensuring all team members comply with hotel policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Monitor room status, linen and amenities inventory, cleaning productivity, and maintenance requirements while working closely with Front Office, Engineering, and other departments to ensure efficient room availability, timely guest request fulfillment, and smooth day-to-day operations.
- Assist in managing departmental budgets, controlling operating expenses, minimizing waste, and maintaining inventory levels to support cost-effective operations without compromising service quality.
- Handle guest concerns and special requests professionally, implement service recovery when needed, and continuously identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, team performance, and overall guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Housekeeping, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role within an international hotel.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning procedures, room inspection standards, linen management, and inventory control.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations.
- Familiar with hotel property management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of occupational health & safety, hygiene standards, and hotel brand quality standards.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional languages are an advantage.
- Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, based on operational requirements.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service excellence.
