Iris Hotels Portfolio is looking for Junior Payroll Officer to join the Team based at the Iris Capital Office in Macquarie street, Sydney.

 

 

 

 

Job Description

As a Payroll Officer, you play a crucial role in the accurate and efficient processing of payroll for two of our portfolios. Your responsibilities span a range of tasks, from end-to-end payroll processing to liaising with stakeholders. The responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

  • Completion of end-to-end payroll processing for the two portfolios for approximately 1,400 within the required time frame
  • Investigate and promptly resolve any payroll platform issues to maintain the integrity of payroll data
  • Maintain and manage timesheet data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Investigating discrepancies in timesheet data and resolving them with the relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Preparation and distribution of contracts
  • Assisting with the completion of the monthly and EOY payroll tax submissions
  • Assisting with workers' compensation claims, payments and reimbursements
  • Assisting with the upload of monthly superannuation contributions
  • Assisting in the completion of EOFY payroll tasks, including reconciliations and reporting
  • Manage staff onboarding and offboarding processes, collaborating with managers and colleagues ensuring a smooth onboarding experience
  • Monitor and track changes in employee status, movements within the portfolio, and any other relevant details
  • Calculate and investigate backpays, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Answering and providing guidance on payroll and award-related questions to internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as support teams for third party payroll vendors or child support agents
  • Ability to interpret awards and relevant legislation to ensure precise payroll calculations
  • Filing and archiving of payroll information
  • Any ad hoc duties as required by the payroll manager

  • Accounting experience
