Job Description
Novotel Kinshasa La Gombe and ibis Styles Kinshasa is looking for Cluster General Manager who will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for ibis Styles Kinshasa and Novotel Kinshasa la Gombe, ensuring both hotels achieve their financial, operational, and guest satisfaction objectives while upholding Accor's brand standards and values.
You will lead and inspire the Executive Committee and hotel teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences, drive commercial performance, foster a high-performing culture, and strengthen the market position of both properties. Working closely with owners and corporate stakeholders, you will identify growth opportunities, optimize resources across the cluster, and ensure sustainable business success.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic hospitality leader with a strong commercial mindset, proven operational expertise, and a passion for developing talent. You will champion innovation, operational excellence, and employee engagement while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance, and financial stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and overall leadership for the operations of ibis Styles Kinshasa and Novotel Kinshasa.
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share through effective commercial and operational strategies.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Executive Committee and hotel leadership teams to build a high-performance culture.
- Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by maintaining the highest standards of service, quality, and brand compliance.
- Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization, and achievement of business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, corporate offices, government authorities, business partners, and the local community.
- Promote a culture of employee engagement, inclusion, safety, and continuous development aligned with Accor's values.
- Ensure full compliance with legal, regulatory, health, safety, security, and company policies.
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and synergies across both hotels while preserving each brand's unique positioning.
- Represent the hotels within the local market, strengthening brand reputation and expanding strategic partnerships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience in hotel operations, including experience as a General Manager or Cluster General Manager within an international hotel brand.
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of driving revenue growth, profitability, and market share.
- Demonstrated success in leading multi-functional teams and fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and employee engagement.
- Excellent financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, and cost optimization.
- Extensive knowledge of hotel operations, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, Revenue Management, Finance, and People & Culture.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic business plans while delivering operational excellence and exceptional guest experiences.
- Strong leadership, coaching, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with hotel owners, asset managers, and corporate offices in a management or franchise environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities with the capacity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written). French proficiency is a significant advantage for the Democratic Republic of the Congo market.
