Job Description
- Purchase food, beverage, operating supplies, equipment, and other hotel requirements from approved suppliers and local markets.
- Visit suppliers and markets to source products, compare prices, and negotiate the best value for the hotel.
- Obtain competitive quotations and ensure purchases meet the hotel's quality standards and budget.
- Prepare purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Inspect purchased items to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and identify new sourcing opportunities.
- Coordinate with the Receiving and Accounts Payable teams to ensure proper documentation and invoice processing.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and conduct regular market price surveys.
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with hotel policies and internal control procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Good knowledge of local suppliers and markets.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with procurement systems is an advantage.
- Good command of Khmer and English.
- Honest, dependable, and physically able to travel to suppliers and markets as required.
