Job Description

  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards across the property.
  • Conduct regular hygiene inspections and audits in all food preparation and service areas.
  • Monitor and maintain HACCP procedures and food safety management systems.
  • Coordinate routine microbiological and water quality testing as required.
  • Conduct hygiene and food safety training sessions for team members.
  • Investigate hygiene-related incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain hygiene records, reports, and documentation in accordance with company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Work closely with the Culinary, Stewarding, and Food & Beverage teams to maintain the highest hygiene standards.
  • Support pre-opening hygiene initiatives, audits, and operational readiness activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Food Safety, Hospitality Management, Environmental Health, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Hygiene Officer or Food Safety role, preferably within luxury hospitality.
  • HACCP certification is required.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and sanitation practices.
  • Experience in conducting hygiene audits and inspections.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic are required.
  • Previous pre-opening experience is preferred.
