Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Life Guard to join our team in 6th of October City, Egypt. As a Life Guard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests at our aquatic facilities. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who combines strong water safety expertise with exceptional customer service skills. You will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment, responding swiftly to emergencies, and providing reassurance to our guests through your professional presence and expertise.

  • Monitor pool and beach areas continuously to identify potential hazards and prevent drowning incidents
  • Maintain current knowledge of first aid, CPR, and water rescue techniques; respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of aquatic facilities and ensure all safety signage is visible, accurate, and up-to-date
  • Enforce facility rules and safety regulations in a professional and friendly manner to ensure guest compliance
  • Perform water rescues and provide emergency medical assistance when necessary
  • Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate hazardous situations to management in a timely and transparent manner
  • Collaborate with team members and management to implement and maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards throughout the facility
  • Assist guests with questions and concerns, providing exceptional customer service while maintaining focus on safety
  • Demonstrate flexibility by supporting operations across different areas of the facility and assisting with assigned tasks as directed by management
  • Stay organized and maintain equipment in proper working condition, including rescue tools and safety devices

Qualifications

  • Education: Vocational college diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Certifications: Current and valid professional life guard certification; current First Aid and CPR certifications
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of related work experience in a life guard or aquatic safety role
  • Language Skills: Proficient in English and Arabic to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Swimming Proficiency: Advanced swimming ability with demonstrated water rescue and survival skills
  • Physical Capability: Excellent physical fitness, stamina, and ability to work extended shifts in outdoor and indoor environments
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating basic life guard equipment and safety devices; ability to use monitoring and communication tools
  • Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail, situational awareness, decisive decision-making, and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of emergency response procedures, water safety protocols, and facility health and safety policies
  • Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities; collaborative mindset; empathetic approach to guest interactions; resilience and reliability
